There are three main characters; I, Wife and Vova. For some unspecified misdemeanour I has to take an Idiot into his apartment. He chooses Vova (a Lenin lookalike), who only utters the word "Ekh". The story of how I selected Vova is intercut with a premonition of what is to come. Vova cuts off the Wife´s head with giant secateurs. "He was enchantingly bald" sing the chorus, "And the prominent forehead of the polemicist was lit up by a burning dream!".
Vova begins to wreck the lives of I and his Wifw (who has survived her decapitation. He eats all the food, tears up books, shits on the floor, pisses in the fridge and rapes the Wife. Then the Wife falls in love with Vova and gets pregnant. She has an abortion, then Vova and I have a homosexual affair and beat up the Wife. Finally she demands Vova choose between her and I. Vova decapitates her with secateurs, puts her body down the rubbish chute and disappears.
